If the ovarian function is deteriorated, woman's age is too advanced, or if the woman's fallopian tube or the male semen is not suitable for natural pregnancy, assisted reproductive technology may be recommended rather than surgery. Prior to assisted reproductive technology, medications can be used to improve pregnancy outcome with gonadotropin agonist (for 3 months).
