About General Surgery (Thyroid Cancer Center): CHA Ilsan Medical Center's Thyroid Cancer Center provides multidisciplinary treatment, nuclear medicine treatment, and comprehensive thyroid cancer treatment from early to advanced stages of cancer. CHA Ilsan Medical Center's Thyroid Cancer Center has exceptional medical staff, daily outpatient medical treatment and a one-stop service allowing exams to be done all in one day. The Thyroid Cancer Center also strives to minimize surgical wait time, develops a convenient system for radioactive iodine treatment after surgery, and is building an effective post-surgery tracking management system.

In order to provide patients with an optimal environment to overcome cancer, we pursue integrated care from diagnosis to post-surgery management. The Thyroid Cancer Center is a pioneer in Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery and Thyroidology, and Professor Park, Jung Soo, a world-renowned surgeon, and Professor Kim, Beop Woo, a leader in advanced thyroid cancer, parathyroid disease, minimally invasive surgery, and robotic surgery, have been working together to successfully treat patients with thyroid cancer.

For convenient post-surgical treatment, we operate a semiprivate (2 beds) radioactive iodine treatment room, and during post-surgery management, we conduct detailed and thorough management through a system of a multidisciplinary team.

In addition, a nurse care coordinator specialized in thyroid provides counseling for outpatient treatment, hospitalization, surgery, radioactive iodine treatment, post-discharge treatment, and follow-up care for patients with thyroid cancer to promote patient convenience and establish a more professional and systematic treatment system.
